If you know Jimmy, you know he won’t pass up anything free. Jimmy Camaro, adorned in his fancy cape and lightsaber, will be making a ’special’ appearance at Comix Connection in Mechanicsburg, PA on Saturday May 1 to celebrate Free Comic Book day.
This review is for all of the fans who e-mailed us and begged for more Jimmy. We haven’t been podcasting often enough to satisfy his public, so Jimmy has put away his cape and switched back into reporter mode. I give you, unedited, Jimmy’s review of the new Superman Batman Public Enemies DVD.

The main question that I had during the movie is, which one was the sidekick? Batman or Supes?
First of all, my favorite comic heroine, Power Girl, was portrayed horribly. Power Girl in this movie doesn’t match her comic book personality at all. I know she is only a support character in this movie and the main reason for the PG-13 rating, but her portrayal sucked.
I’m waiting for Ray, Rick or Dr. Lou to tell me who Magpie is?
Supes–”Why is it that good villians never die?”
Bats– “Clark, what the hell are good villians?”
Back to talking about Power Girl, her height is never represented accurately, or in a stable manner so you can’t reconcile her height with Bats &/or Supes through the movie. The comic books always portray her as tall, example is her recently getting “Banged” in floppy #4.
Sorry, SPOILER ALERT!
Lex Luthor as President? Yeah, and I’m sorry but COME ON?! A Lex Luthor statue in the fountain at the White House, even the Messiah, Barry Obama hasn’t got a statue of him yet, give me a break!
So, the BIG, PG-13 question is, throughout the movie are Power Girl’s boobs big enough, well, just ask Toyman(13 year old boy in this movie).
The reference to Star Labs, is that Power Girl’s company?
Just in case you wanted to know, unlike Wolverine & Cyclops just being used to being carried/flown around by the flying X-Men, Bats prefers using his wire/cable over Supes fly/carrying him, Bats HATES being carried, actually.
I guess if you wanted it to be a surprise, special guest appearances, don’t read further.
Ban Shee
Ice chick? I don’t know her name.
Mr./Dr. Freeze
Ice guy, with hood and mask, he may be an enemy from the Superfriends/Legion of Doom, I obviously don’t know his name. [I just found out who it is, Captain Cold]
Is Mongul, Dark Seid? Chest heat beam or ray.
Solomon Grundy
Who is Shiva?
Nightshade, I have no clue who she is.
Gorilla Grodd
Bane
Walking shark, Sharkman????
Manta
Giant lady wearing tiger/leopard print bikini, Ha, ha, ha, obviously those ARE bigger than Power Girls, LMAO!
The scene where all these villians show up is basically a gang bang, Legion of Doom reunion, minus President Luther.
Come on?! Smallville idea in an animated movie?! Barry Bonds-Luthor, Luthor Bane! Come on?! Steroids with liquid kryptonite?!
Toyman is actually a 13 year old boy, good guy? WTFrak? Toyboy is an additional reason for the PG-13 rating, make way for the “boobliners” and X-ray glasses.
Toyman–”Does Power Girl have big–?”
So for Jimmy to finish up, THIS MOVIE WAS BETTER THAN Superman Returns!!
Jimmy only likes Superman 1&2 anyways, the others are blasphemy.
Hopefully, the Garden Guys will be back in the studio soon for another audio episode.
Jimmy out!

Jimmy, Dr. Lou and I made the 90-minute trip south for Baltimore Comic-Con. Well, the trip is usually only 90-minutes…but takes a bit longer when Jimmy locks his keys in his car before we ever hit the road.

Jimmy-ing his car with a wire hanger
Jimmy tried using metal coathangers to try to pop the door to no avail. Fortunately, North York Auto Menders was right across the street and the guys were more than happy to come over with a slimjim(my) and got the door open in about 30 seconds. We hit Mickey D’s for a hearty breakfast and almost made it out of the parking lot before the second near calamity. We pulled the car over by a stand-alone ATM that was out in the lot. Jimmy decided he didn’t want to the pay the withdrawal fee and went into the grocery store 50 yards away. Dr Lou retrieved his funds and we moved the car closer to the store entrance. Lou and I were deep in what I am sure was a very interesting conversation when I look in rearview mirror and see Jimmy trudging across the parking lot towards the ATM. He walks up and starts getting into a car sitting there - scaring the shit out the poor lady inside! Please note that this car was barely the same color and not even close to the same model as my car. We scooped Jimmy up and peeled out before the fuzz arrived.
We were back on the road and only ended up getting to the Comic-Con about an hour later than scheduled. We parked and went over to the front of the convention center where we were to meet up with the “Dark Protector of Baltimore” (I just gave myself douche chills) – Darth Ravenous. Jimmy got tired of waiting and wandered off, seemingly only minutes before Darth Ravenous finally arrived. DR talked us into ditching Jimmy and we headed into the Con without him.
It was a good show and I was able to get some decent pictures of some people in costumes. No, I didn’t get many of females. There were some fetching femme fatales in cool costumes, but I just couldn’t bring myself to be that creepy guy thats walks up to a girl standing by herself and asks to take her picture and slobbers “nice costume” as he scurries off after a quick click. I tried to pawn it off on Dr. Lou under the guise that “we’d get better pictures if we take turns” or some BS. He couldn’t bring out the inner creep either.
Since returning, I’ve been scouring the net for sites showing pics from the show. I found the following sites:
Zerbetron’s Photostream
Baltimore Sun
Confessions of a Cosplay Girl
Crave Online
Mr Terrific’s Photostream
HappyGlyphs Comics
Rival Angels
Racoon Eyes DeviantART
Cosplay.com
Comix Connection
Rob and Tom’s Place
MorpheusBlade’s Photostream
ComicsDC
SINincallyTwisted’s LiveJournal
BG’s Photo Libary
I did not find one single picture of Darth Ravenous. He assured me that a “bunch of people” took his photograph. I even caught this unknown photographer in the act, so I know at least one exists.

If anyone knows of a site that has a picture of Darth Ravenous, please send us an e-mail and let us know. Just in case you haven’t seen Darth Ravenous in other posts on the site, here’s another one for you.

Jimmy is no stranger to costumes – or cosplay as the cool kids say. He has lit up conventions from Shore Leave to Baltimore Comic-Con. Let’s face it , though, the East Coast conventions are the minor leagues. Can Jimmy hang with the studs on the West Coast?
I started my research by checking out the San Diego Comic-Con 2009 Costumes gallery on Yahoo. Then I checked out the coverage from the local San Diego NBC affiliate. Finally, I found the motherload with Maximum PC’s 600-image gallery! I searched through every photo (some of the Baroness pics twice) and could not find one single instance where someone combined two characters into one costume. Could Jimmy really being on the cutting edge of dork costuming?
Sure, anyone could spend hundreds of hours designing and building a freak’n cool Buzz Lightyear costume, but it took Jimmy less than five minutes to slap together Darth Ravenous – a combination Sith Lord and Baltimore Ravens football team mascot (with a little McDonald’s Grimace sprinkled in for good measure). Who else but Jimmy could have come up with the trademark Duke Skywalker, a GI Joe / Jedi Knight combo costume? Not those Comic-Con losers.
If my research taught me anything, it’s that not every girl should try to pull off the Princess Leia in Jabba’s Palace bikini and that when it comes to costumes, Jimmy beats off the competition.
Sneak peak: In podcast episode 14 Jimmy tells us his latest costume idea!
Jimmy and his pals from the U.S.S. Buchanan headed down to Maryland for all the Star Trek goodness at Shore Leave 31. He managed to find a Red Lantern “Alien Hate Priest” to have his picture taken with.
Jimmy explains the photo:
“THERE IS NO LIGHT IN HIS HAND. The Red Lantern symbol on his costume was a HIGHLY reflective material that the camera I used (borrowed) would NOT allow me to turn its flash off for the person trying to take my picture! Sorry!”
Jimmy is at a Star Trek convention. He is wearing his blue “Star Trek” shirt. It even has a Stark Trek emblem broach on it… but somehow Jimmy always ends up in his “Duke Skywalker” Jedi desert camouflage cape on with a lightsaber in hand.

Jimmy, Rick, Ray and Dr. Lou loaded into the Jimmy-mobile on Saturday for the 90 mile trip to Wizard World Philadelphia. We spent most of the day at the convention and came home with backpacks full of back issues and TP’s – plus photo proof that Jimmy was there.
(Jimmy is of course pumping his fist in the air and yelling ‘Yo Joe’)
One is a ninja, the other is just a guy in a black outfit. You decide.

Jimmy will be leading Rick, Ray and Dr. Lou on the adventure that is Wizard World Philadelphia. We’ll be there on Saturday June 20th only, but Jimmy is looking forward to meeting his fans.
How will you know which freak is Jimmy? He’ll be wearing the “I’m Jimmy” shirt, of course.
